Faithful and Happy Marriages Promote Happy Homes

“Husband and wife draw closer together 
as they individually and steadily 
come unto Christ.” ¹

Elder David A. Bednar has taught that Satan works so hard to try to make us feel as miserable as he is. Three things the adversary hates most are 3 things he will never get to enjoy. 

They are: 

·         * Having a physical body

·         * Getting to marry

·         * And procreation; creating a family of his own

This is why Satan's strongest attacks are being focused in these areas. 

He wants young people to be confused about their God given gender. 

He promotes the unrighteous and early use of procreative power. 

He also is waging war with marriage…especially trying to make righteous marriages falter.

The only way I can prevent his diabolical attacks in my marriage is by intentionally being vigilant to safeguard our relationship and try to keep the Savior at the center of our lives…in our words, thoughts, and actions.

Having a Christ-centered home take tremendous ongoing planning, thinking, forgiving, and effort. It takes extraordinary individuals who value an Eternal Marriage and all the potential that brings!

My husband and I are learning how to make the comfort of the other be our highest priority through mutual respect and tender love. ¹

As the world becomes increasingly more tumultuous, we must do our part to teach the eternal significance of the sacred unit of the family to our loved ones - our children and grandchildren. 

My husband and I can do this best by honoring the new and everlasting covenant of marriage that we entered into in the House of the Lord.
